THE INITIAL CONSULTATION

Prior to any therapy taking place there will be an initial consultation where a full history of the client is taken and the issue or problem to be resolved is discussed. The therapist will then advise the client of the proposed treatment plan and the client will have an opportunity to discuss and give consideration to the proposal, the number of sessions recommended and the likely cost of treatment.
The length of treatment varies and is dependent upon which approach is suggested by your therapist. However, we work very closely with you in establishing a programme to suit your goals, needs and availability. The decision on the length of therapy will be made after your initial consultation and once the assessment of your problems has been made.

Here follows a list of therapies offered at The London Therapy Centre which serves as a guide only:

· Short-term Psychotherapy Weekly 12 Sessions minimum
· Long-term Psychotherapy Weekly

2 Years minimum

· Hypnotherapy
As Advised 1 to 3 Sessions
· Hypnoanalysis Weekly 12 Sessions minimum

For more severe problems, especially chronic or long-term difficulties, the length of treatment will vary.

Medical Considerations

Few medical conditions contra-indicate the use of hypnosis or psychotherapy, though in some cases liaison with the client's GP may be appropriate. Almost everyone who wishes to be hypnotized can achieve a level of relaxation sufficient to allow therapy to take place.
