The Practice
The London Therapy Centre provides high-quality and effective psychotherapeutic services in London and with the recent expansion of online therapies the reach is now global.
We work with individuals, couples and groups, in person and online. Each patient will be offered a unique and individualised session plan to give you the quickest and longest lasting results.
Geri Russo, MA, BPC, UKCP, MBACP, (gerirusso.com) founded The London Therapy Centre with the aim of placing mental health in equal high priority as physical health. The vision is to grow a community of clinicians committed to providing leading-edge evidence-based therapies.
The London Therapy Centre was created as a safe space for patients to confidentially work through issues that negatively impact their lives. We endorse anti-discriminatory practices welcoming all diverse groups in society.
The practice will work in association with universities to serve as a centre for trainee clinical placements for pre-registered and newly registered professionals. This service helps to support future clinicians in their professional development and to further their clinical education.
Anti-Racism Statement
“Any man’s death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind” - John Donne
Recent events have compelled us to examine and take action against the multifaceted nature of racism. Racism is dehumanising to everyone it touches.
Psychotherapy holds a longstanding value of upholding and working toward social justice for all people. We must examine racism beyond the actions of individuals, for it is embedded in the very fabric of our society.
We acknowledge that racism can be unconscious or unintentional, and that identifying racism as an issue does not automatically mean those involved in the act are racist or intended the negative impact. As an anti-racism service we vow to purposefully identify, discuss and challenge issues of race and colour and the impact they have on our organisation, its systems, and its people. We will also challenge ourselves to understand and correct any inequities we may discover and gain a better understanding of ourselves during this purposeful process.
We are resolved to explicitly and publicly affirm our identity as an anti-racist service and are resolved that our anti-racism commitment be reflected in the life and culture of our practices as we continue to learn about racism.
We resolve to develop and work to implement strategies that dismantle racism within all aspects of our service and society.

Develop Self-Awareness
Group therapy is a powerful therapeutic medium and will appeal to anyone who wants to change unhealthy behaviours, strengthen self-worth, discover emotions and improve relationships. In a group people realise that they are not alone in their struggles. Receiving acceptance from others helps us accept ourselves and providing support to others can create a sense of purpose and worth as we demonstrate how we can powerfully affect the lives of others and help them heal.
